Ernie Schaer built Starlings in 1950. His father owned the land previously and built the house just the the NE of Starlings some years before. Ernie's sister built the house just to the NW about the same time and another sister built a house east of the old homestead. All of the land that is now Springville Summit down to the gulley/creek on the west side of the Springville condominiums was Schaer land and orchards.
The Gardeners owned the house for some time, The house was sold in 1997, the Gr---- purchased it in 2006, and the Mr. and the Mrs. purchased it in 2010. We get mail for the Yaples sometimes and we don't know exactly how they fit in.
